Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund Walking Off 2020!
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund is asking Richland Countians to help support its fight against breast cancer.
The Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund was established in memory of Pat Kracker, a Richland County resident who lost her battle with breast cancer on her 61st birthday. The Fund provides financial support to Richland County residents who have been stricken with breast cancer.
“2020 has been a difficult year for everyone, including the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund,” says Rhonda Breit the Fund’s Chairman. “We’re needing help this year and there are three ways Richland Countians can help.”
The Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund is asking Richland Countians to Walk Off 2020 through its Walk It Off 2020 Campaign.
“It’s a virtual walk,” says Rhonda. “Walk on your own time, by yourself, or with a group of friends. Find 20 sponsors who will each donate $20 to help the Fund fight breast cancer in Richland County…and take pictures for us to post!”
Nationally, breast cancer supporters wear pink in October to show their support for breast cancer survivors and those battling the disease. “We’re painting Richland County pink this October,” says Rhonda.
The Fund has made special arrangements for Richland Countians to buy and wear Pat Kracker tee shirts, polo shirts, and sweatshirts with the Pat Kracker logo. Part of the proceeds goes to support the Pat Kracker Fund’s efforts in fighting breast cancer in Richland County.
“Of course, a third way to help this October is a one-time donation to the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund,” says Rhonda.
