Workplace woes for women … The job market may be better, but it seems women are still being left behind. A survey of working women in the U.S. found that 50% have left a job due to sexism in the workplace. Some other stats:
- 62% of those surveyed said they had experienced gender bias in the workplace.
- 36% of women believe they were passed over for a promotion in favor of a man within the last five years.
- 50% said it’s harder for women to get ahead at their place of employment.
- 43% said they found out a male co-worker with the exact same position was being paid more than they were
