The latest trend in parenting is ... not parenting. More and more well-off couples are opting to skip the parent trap to spend cash on themselves, earning the nickname DINKs -- for "double income, no kids." The trend is growing, thanks to inflation, high childcare costs, and economic uncertainty. DINKS are typically upper-income couples, who spend the childcare cash on things like fancy restaurant meals and luxury vacations. DINKs have been hitting TikTok with videos defending their decisions and posting photos of trips to Paris and the Caribbean, as well as massive Costco hauls.
