Stats show that Ashland ranked among the safer cities in Ohio, according to a recent study. RichlandSource.com reports that Ashland ranks 66th out of 166 on the list, which was compiled by the National Council for Home Safety and Security. FBI Crime stats were used and the number of violent crimes reported. Mansfield ranked 154 on the list, while Bucyrus was 134 and Galion 121. The safest was Chester Township in Geauga County.
