Study to Exam Ashland County Solid Waste District and Recycling Center

A study is being done to exam the operations of the Ashland County Solid Waste District and Ashland County Recycling Center. RichlandSource.com reports the study, which costs around $15,000, could lead to changes like outsourcing the work the recycling center does or combine the solid waste district with another county. The Ashland County Commissioners, who pushed for the study, feel it would cost $500,000 to $ 1 million to fix up the recycling center to make it operational long term. No permanent decision will be made until the results of the study come back.
