75 Annual May Show Juror: Dr. Andy Hudson
Dr. Andy Hudson, is a retired OSU medical educator, an established artist/maker, glass blower, and a renowned art collector. He is a member of multiple arts organizations and a frequent Columbus arts exhibitor. His award winning work includes hand blown and solid glass, cast glass and neon sculptures, mixed media sculptures, wood carvings and mono-type and intaglio prints. He has recently been experimenting with drawing on various surfaces with 2000 degree molten glass creating black and white “drawings” with smoky grey, sepia, burnt umber, sienna, and brassy yellow highlights
Andy is also the former Director of Education for the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Medicine. He is a member of the Ohio Art League, and a charter member of Acme Art Company and Roy G. Biv galleries, as well as one of three founding members of the Glass Axis studio in Columbus, Ohio. Andy has collected central Ohio art for over 35 years, and recently displayed his collection of outsider art at the Mansfield Art Center in “Just Local Folk – The Andy Hudson Collection.”
