Ashland Kiwanis Club Announces Pet Photo Contest
Ashland Kiwanis Club is hosting its first ever pet photo contest. It’s a Pet-a-Palooza and we can’t wait to see your creative pics of your adorable pets. Due to COVID-19, the club will not be holding its annual Community Pancake Breakfast this fall.In order to continue the great work in our community, we have shifted to a Pet Photo Contest which is entirely online.
“Since the Pancake Breakfast is our primary fundraiser for the year, this new Pet Photo Contest needs your support more than ever,” stated Pam Luedy, Kiwanis Club president. Funds raised support a wide variety of programs and address a variety of needs that exist within the Ashland community.
“Our sponsors and community members have always been extremely generous with financial support and we’re hoping we can count on them to invest in this new fundraising venture. Imagine; assisting our local community and celebrating our beloved pets all at the same time,” Luedy added.
The Pet-a-Palooza Photo Contest will run from August 3rd to September 15th. The club is seeking sponsors through September 1st.
It's easy to participate! Submit your best photo of your furry, feathered, or finned family member for $5.00 and then get your family and friends to vote! Each vote can be purchased for $1.00 and you may vote as often as you like.
Be sure to read the entry rules for photo requirements. Prize packages will be awarded to the top two critters in three categories: Dazzling Dog, Curious Cat, and Outstanding Other. Starting August 3rd, go to www.gogophotocontest.com/ashlandohiokiwanis to enter your pet and vote.
2020 might not look exactly how we thought it would, but there are still ways we can have some fun with our furry friends and contribute to a good cause at the same time!
