'Rumor Has It' Reba's New Album Cover Was Inspired By Barbara Streisand

"Reba-Red" is an iconic look that has been requested at hair appointments for decades.

So, why did Reba McEntire not feature her stunning lochs on her album cover for her 30th-anniversary rerelease album, 'Rumor Has It?'

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Reba cleared the air.

"Well, it was Sandy Spika's idea," says Reba. "Sandy Spika and I have worked together for 14 years. She did my hair, all my clothes, and she had the idea from a Barbara Streisand cover.

We did that very last set up and came walking out with that hat and the scarf on, and everybody went, "Wow! Where is the big hair?" But, it was different, and evidentially, everybody else loved it too, and we made it the album cover."

Sandy's vision for Reba's fashion has been turning heads for years. The stylist is also responsible for the sheer red dress that Reba wore to the 1993 Country Music Association Awards ceremony on September 29, 1993. The star was spotted dripping in sequins and donning a low during a duet performance of "Does He Love You" with Linda Davis.

In an interview after the event, Reba shared, "I got more press off that dress than if I'd won entertainer of the year."
