Shelby Monitoring 10 Active COVID-19 Cases

Shelby mayor Steve Schag release this information today about recent coronavirus in the city of Shelby.

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting activity over the past 24 hours of 4 new cases and 2 recovered cases. The Department has documented a total of 89 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. 

Of that cumulative number, 78 have attained recovered/resolved status. The Department is currently monitoring 10 active cases which are self-isolating in home quarantine. There are currently no hospitalizations.

There has been 1 COVID-19 death documented within the City of Shelby. Citizens are strongly urged to observe all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: hand washing, sanitization, physical/social distancing, and the wearing of face coverings.
