Shelby Reports 14 New COVID-19 Cases In Last 24 Hours, Now 55 Active Cases

The City of Shelby reported more coronavirus cases on Wednesday. Below is the press release.

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting COVID-19 activity over the past 24 hours with 14 new cases and 7 recovered/resolved cases. The Department has documented a total of 210 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that cumulative number, 154 individuals have attained recovered/resolved status as of this report. The Department is currently monitoring 55 active cases with 55 individual self-isolating in home quarantine and 0 individuals hospitalized. There has been 1 COVID-19 death documented within the City of Shelby.

Citizens are strongly urged two observe all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: frequent hand washing, sanitization, physical/social distancing, and the wearing of face coverings.
