State Highway Patrol Investigating Serious Injury Crash
Greenwich Township - The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Norwalk Post is investigating a one vehicle versus pedestrian, serious injury crash the occurred today, May 25, 2022 at approximately 3:16 P. M. The crash occurred on State Route 13 south of US Route 224, in Greenwich Township, Huron County.
Christopher Williams, 33, from Columbus, Ohio, was driving a 2014 Ford Transit, south on State Route 13. Leonard Barnett, 58, from Greenwich, Ohio was walking westbound crossing State Route 13. Mr. Barnett was struck by the vehicle and landed on the roadway.
Mr. Barnett suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene by Metro Life Flight to Cleveland Metro Hospital. Mr. Williams did not sustain any injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and alcohol and/or drug usage is not suspected at this time.
