Plans are in the works to install a new scoreboard at Arlin Field this spring.
Stan Jefferson, Superintendent of the Mansfield City Schools says it will actually be a video board and will be quite larger than the current scoreboard. A company out of the Columbus area will handle the work, which is hoping to start in March or April and be ready by this summer. The video board will be 25 by 20 feet wide and will include new play clocks and a new sound system. The total cost of the project is around $235,000. There are ideas to use the new video board to possibly show movie's on or hold other events for the district.
