TMSG: Off-Duty Officer Helps Children Out Of House Fire

A home in Livermore Falls, ME went up in flames with a 10-year-old and 14-year-old stuck inside. Thankfully, an off-duty Maine police officer Sgt. Vernon Stevens, went to see what was going on when he spotted the two young boys in the window, trapped on the third floor.

Stevens encouraged the boys to climb out the window and jump into his arms. They both managed to escape with only minor injuries.

Thanks to Stevens, the boys are safe. Although the officer doesn't want to be praised for his actions, he wants the boys to be remembered for their bravery to jump out of the window.
