Morgan Evans’ self-titled EP is Here! Let’s cheers and celebrate! Evans surprised fans today with the release of his self-titled EP.

In an exclusive interview with Cody Alan, Evans talks about being an Australian artist and the milestones and people that helped drive and develop his musical style.

Keith Urban, naturally was a major influencer throughout Evans’ late teens. Evans’ says that seeing his first Keith Urban show was a lightbulb moment and helped him develop his musical style.

Rob Potts, Evans’ longtime manager, was a champion for bringing international country artists to the US. With decades of experience under his belt, Potts had worked with Urban early on in building his career. The highly successful manager, unexpectedly passed away in a motorcycle accident just as Evans was breaking in the US. The tragedy hit Evans incredibly hard and Urban became an unexpected support system throughout the grieving process.

The Aussie has overcome hurdles and tragedy to bring the “Morgan Evans EP” to fans and on Thursday, August 9th he hosted friends, fans, and industry to a toast at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Thursday to announce the surprise release and celebrate with a round of shots. The famed honky tonk holds a soft spot for Evans’ since it was the first place that he visited when he arrived in Nashville nearly 10 years ago.

“More & more when I experience big life and career moments, they remind me of all the little ones that happened before and made them possible. I first visited Nashville 10 years ago, and within 2hrs of landing I made my way to Tootsies on Broadway. I remember that moment as one of the defining ones, ‘this is the greatest city on earth.’
