Deadline Approaches For Ashland County Fair Veterans Wall Of Honor

The Ashland County Fair Board and The American Legion Auxiliary have put together a Wall of Honor display in the Veterans Building at the Fairgrounds. As you visit the fair this year, take time to view pictures of all the brave men and women who have served our country from Ashland County, whether in conflict or peace time. If you wish to honor a veteran during fair week, you have until (this) Friday September 6th to submit a photo for the wall. Photos must be 5" x 7". You must also provide the following information: Veteran's name, Military Branch, Rank, Conflict/War, Years in service as well as your phone number and address. Photos may still be admitted after the deadline but will not be displayed for this year's fair. For more information call 567-203-8547 or 419-651-0156.

Monday September 16th is Veterans Day at the Ashland County Fair. Veterans with military ID will be admitted to the fair for free. Veterans are welcome to enjoy a free meal from 12 noon- 6 p.m. At 10:45 a.m. The Walk of Honor begins at Veteran’s Building and at 11am in the Pavilion, Veterans will be honored for their service.

This year's Ashland County Fair grandstand headliner Craig Morgan is an army veteran. Morgan served our country for 17 years including 10 and a half years on active duty with the U.S. Army serving in the 101st and 82nd airborne divisions before launching his Country Music career.
