Veterans Celebrations set for Ashley HomeStore in Mansfield

To honor Veterans and Active Duty Military, Ashley HomeStore, 919 Lexington Springmill Road North, Mansfield will host their 10th Annual Veterans Celebration Saturday morning November 9. 

The celebration kicks off at 8 a.m. with a free breakfast for Veterans, Active Duty Military, and their guests. It's followed with a Rifle Squad, Service Flags and Posting of Colors by the Bellville American Legion Post 535. Al Beyer, 5th District Commander, will discuss what Veterans Day means and Dean Krance will talk about the 1st Annual Richland County Honor Bus taking Veterans to see their Memorials in Washington DC. The featured speaker will be LT. Col. Paul A. Kari, USAF Fighter pilot shot down in Vietnam and was a Prisoner of War for nearly 8 years. Paul will also have his book “A Strength to Endure” a memoir, available.

The morning will conclude with a drawing to give away more than $10,000 in furniture and prizes to Veterans and Active Duty Military in attendance. 

Information about a variety of services, programs, and opportunities for Veterans will also be available.

Ashley HomeStore of Mansfield is committed to thanking Veterans and Active Duty Military for their service. The store hosts a Wall of Honor. Local Veterans and Active Duty Military who visit can get their picture placed on the wall. They also receive a free challenge coin and hearty thanks from the staff.

Ashley HomeStore of Mansfield was founded by Dave Monnin, Sr., a Veteran of the U.S. Army and is currently co-owned by his sons, David Monnin, and Ben Monnin, also an Army Veteran.
