TEMPORARY PANDEMIC CHILD CARE SERVICES

Effective, this Thursday, Governor DeWine will close all state-licensed child care centers. In response, the Mansfield Area Y child care program will open two centers as Temporary Pandemic Child Care on Friday, March 27 at 6:00am.

Fran’s Child Care (750 Scholl Road) and Ontario Y Child Care (2200 Bedford Blvd) locations will open to provide Temporary Pandemic Child Care for the children of “essential service employees”. Both centers, conveniently located near hospitals, are licensed through the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services. Each center is equipped to care for infants as young as 6 weeks, toddlers, preschool, and school-age children. The hours of operation will be 6:00am – 6:00pm. More details will be available on the Y’s website, www.mansfieldy.org.

Families in need must contact Velma Bond at 419-522-3511 x244 or via email at vbond@mansfieldy.org. Please send enrollment forms via email. In person enrollment will be available at the Mansfield Area Y, 750 Scholl Road, from 10am – 2pm on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
