It's a summer escape that was denied in 2020 thanks to the pandemic; that's watching the Akron Rubber Ducks play baseball. The friendly confines of Canal Park in Akron sat empty last year as did all the minor league parks because of Covid-19. The 2021 baseball season begins with a fairly positive outlook compared to last year. On the major league level, The Cleveland Indians pitchers and catchers reported to spring training in Arizona this week and its Double-A affiliate, The Akron Rubber Ducks announced their schedule. The Ducks open on the road May 4th with the first game of a six game series against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
