"A bottle of red. A bottle of white. It all depends upon your appetite." Those are lyrics from a Billy Joel classic "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant". One of my favorites and a song that immediately comes to mind when wine is mentioned. It might be fun to apply the results of the study below (from the website foodandwine.com) and see if the personality traits of the characters in the song match up with their wine choices. My wife and I prefer fruity white wines served chilled and I'd say we match up with white wine drinkers in the study. How about you

Red or white? Seems your wine preference says a lot about your personality. A survey found that red wine drinkers are more likely to be early birds and introverts, while white wine drinkers tend to be night owls and extroverts. Other personality traits? Red wine drinkers identify as humble, adventurous and organized. They also tend to prefer dogs over cats. White wine drinkers are more sarcastic and curious, and tend to be perfectionists. They are also more likely to be cat people. Red wine drinkers also spend more on wine than their white wine counterparts. Red wine fans spend about 40 bucks a bottle, while white wine drinkers spend about $37 a bottle.
