It's Halloween time! What do you have planned? I'll be passing out candy for trick-or-treat in my neighborhood and maybe watching a scary movie at home. When this season arrives I think of the classic characters like The Wolfman, Frankenstein, Dracula, The Mummy and The Creature From the Black Lagoon. I think of The slasher film franchises such as Halloween, Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th. I think of lighter fare such as Scooby-Doo, Gremlins, E.T., Hotel Transylvania, etc. But what movies truly scared me. Here's my own personal "Top Ten of Terror".

  1. The Strangers (With Liv Tyler. "Why are you doing this to us" "Because you were home")
  2. Silence of the Lambs (May be the best EVER!)
  3. Planet of the Apes (Gave me nightmares when I was 6)
  4. Amityville Horror (Gave me nightmares when I was a teenager. You see, my bedroom was in my basement and that's where the evil in the movie lived)
  5. Blair Witch Project (Made the mistake of watching this in the dark, in our basement)
  6. JAWS (I've dreamt of drowning while being surrounded by sharks. Thanks Spielberg)
  7. The Conjuring (Clap Clap)
  8. Get Out (good modern scare)
  9. IT (Evil clown living in the sewer)
  10. The Sixth Sense (Scared kids are easy to relate to plus what a twist when you find out Bruce Willis is.....OOOPS, don't want to give it away in case you haven't seen it.)
