The Rolling Stones are the subject of a new tribute album, this one by country artists.
Stoned Cold Country features covers of 14 songs, including “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Dead Flowers,” "It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll (But I Like It),” “Miss You,” "Wild Horses," “Tumbling Dice,” and "Gimme Shelter" by Eric Church, Brooks & Dunn, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Marcus King, Zac Brown Band, Steve Earle and seven others.
The album will be out next year, but will be preceded by the first single, “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It)” by Brothers Osborne and the War and Treaty this Friday. They will also perform it next Wednesday on the Country Music Association Awards on ABC at 8pm ET.

One song that should have made this cd comes from the Rolling Stones album "Some Girls". "Far Away Eyes" is already pure country and could have been part of this collection in it's original form. There was a time when WNCO would play this on The Wednesday Night Oldies Show. Check this out.
