If it can be experienced in real life, technology has created ways for us to have that experience in virtual reality. And since death is a part of life, why not experience that virtually, too?
NEW VIRTUAL REALITY SYSTEM LETS USERS EXPERIENCE DEATH
In Melbourne, Australia, a new VR simulation allows people to experience what it may be like to die.
This thing supposedly guides users through a simulated "de-escalation of life," from cardiac arrest to brain death to floating around in an out-of-body experience.
Luckily, people going through the experience are hooked up to a heart rate monitor -- and can quit at any time by raising their hand if they get spooked.
