How To Stop A Cold Before You Get Sick: We’ve learned a lot about how viruses spread in the last few years so here’s a reminder to use those lessons to stay healthy this winter. Colds are spread by droplets and you can get one by coming into contact with others who are sick or by touching contaminated surfaces and putting your hands on your face.
Since we know that, here’s how to avoid catching a cold:
- Wash your hands with soap and warm water often
- Don’t touch your face until you do wash your hands
- Disinfect high touch surfaces
- Get plenty of sleep to keep immunity up
- Eat properly and drink plenty of water
- Wear a mask when you think you should
- Avoid big indoor crowds
