Summer Solutions For Kids That Are Already Bored

As a Grandparent our responsibilities, as far as entertaining children, aren't nearly as detailed as they are for Mom and Dad. But that said, We've are leaning on some cool sprinkler instead of a blow-up pool. Less clean-up for sure and our oldest grandchild has pretty much outgrown those 6' by 10' models. And a garage full of bicycles is out of the questions. (Frankly me and GMaw can't keep up) That said we'll be spending the weekend trying to come up with some ideas to keep costs down and smiles on their faces. We'll start with this list! - Matt Appleby

Fun Ideas To Do With The Kids For Summer: It’s time for the family to get outside, stretch their legs, and have some fun. There are plenty of things to do to keep everyone happy outdoors. Here are a few ideas from “The Every Mom.”

  • Take a family bike ride
  • Go on a picnic
  • Play with DIY bubbles
  • Camp in your yard
  • Fly kites
  • Go fishing
  • Have a water balloon fight
  • Have fun in the water
  • Go berry picking

You can also come up with your own idea… just enjoy the sunshine.
