The Mansfield Fire Department responded to over 100 calls during Friday’s windstorm, which knocked out power to more than 14,000 people in Richland County alone. Wind gusts in the Mansfield area reached over 65 MPH at times.
On Friday, Mansfield Firefighters responded to calls, which included: downed power lines, trees on homes, a tree on a vehicle with a person inside with live power lines, a grass fire and many others.
There is a wind advisory in place today, Sunday 3/15 at 2 p.m. through Monday, 3/16 at 8 am, where winds could gust as high as 50 MPH.
