As much as we want to think that life at the Olympic Village is one big Spring Break, there are actually rules to keep the athletes safe, healthy, and in competition shape. Here are some of them:

  • Athletes must reside with their country's team.
  • Family and friends are not allowed in the Olympic Village.
  • Nursing athletes are allowed to bring their infants to Olympic Village.
  • Minors must room with minors.
  • Athletes must abide by Olympic Village quiet hours (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.).
  • Alcohol is not allowed in Olympic Village.
  • Athletes are allowed to mingle with athletes from other countries in Olympic Village.
  • Athletes are allowed to have sex in the Olympic Village.
  • Athletes do not have to stay in the Olympic Village.
